"Order Cancellation and Poor Communication"
I saw an item listed for roughly 10% cheaper than other stores. However, just a few days after placing my order and making the payment, they went ahead and canceled it without a word. I only found out about the cancellation through a PayPal refund, which revealed they chose not to go through with the order because they didn’t want to stick to the price they advertised. When I reached out via email to get some clarity, they didn’t bother to respond. I'm really let down and frustrated with this experience.

The support rep really got what I was dealing with, which was a lamp bulb that was about to expire. They recommended switching the bulb brightness to Eco mode next time to make the bulb last longer.

"Awesome place for hard-to-find items at a decent price"
I was on the hunt for a new CD player/changer (yep, folks still use CDs) and settled on a Yamaha CD-C600-RK. It turned out to be a bit tricky to find. In mid-June, I placed my order with Focused and received an email the following day stating it would take about 5-6 weeks to arrive because of the manufacturer. Not shocked, considering all the Covid shutdowns. Sure enough, it showed up in early August straight from Yamaha and it’s fantastic. Plus, the price was quite fair.

"Searching for a projection screen led me to focused tech..."
I reached out to focused tech looking for a projection screen that had been out of stock everywhere for a while. The guy I chatted with on the phone was super helpful. When he mentioned that the exact item I wanted wasn’t in stock, he pointed out a better version that was actually cheaper than what I’d seen on other sites.
So far, the screen has been fantastic. My only small issue is that while the frame is said to be all aluminum, the fasteners aren’t. I left it outside overnight and noticed some rust forming at those spots.
